Step-by-Step Instructions
  • Simply sign up for our HappyIron app – with your Apple ID or Google account. Cool, right?!
  • Prepare an order easily, whether for ironing, pressing, or shoe repair.
  • Should a pressed garment be hung on a hanger? Then please place a hanger in the respective item (even if you deliver it in a laundry basket).
  • Once on-site, use the app to open the door to our ServicePoint (via the "Open Door" button).
  • Choose one of the available lockers suggested by the app. A deposit of 1 Euro is required.
  • Place your order in the locker. Please close the locker so that the door audibly shuts.
  • You will receive a notification and invoice amount on our app once your order is ready for pickup.
  • Your locker number will be displayed in our app. That’s where your ironed/pressed laundry will be waiting.

Q: What services do we offer?
A: HappyIron accepts ironing laundry, flatware (bed or table linens) for pressing, and shoes for repair.

Q: Who irons the laundry and how does it work?
A: Our HappyIroners are local small businesses, specialist companies, or social institutions. You place your ironing order in our HappyIron app, a Bügelfee (ironing fairy) picks up the order promptly, irons it, and brings it back to the ServicePoint.

Q: Who handles pressing of flatware (bed and table linens) and how does it work?
A: A specialist company from the region. You place your pressing order in the HappyIron app, the company picks it up, presses it, and returns it to the ServicePoint.

Q: Who repairs the shoes and how does it work?
A: Our partner ShoeDoc (www.shoedoc.de) repairs all shoes/boots – try it out! You place a shoe repair order through our HappyIron app. We send the shoes to ShoeDoc for you, and you get them back repaired and cleaned via courier service, delivered to the address you provided.

Q: How do I become a HappyIron customer?
A: Download the HappyIron app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and sign up with your Apple or Google ID.

Q: What do I need to become a customer?
A: Your smartphone, the HappyIron app (via Apple App Store or Google Play), and a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal.

Q: Can I become a customer without the app?
A: Unfortunately, no.

Q: Can I pay in cash?
A: Unfortunately, no. Payment is only possible with your credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal, either at home or on-site when picking up your laundry.

Q: Where do I drop off my order?
A: You bring your order (e.g., a basket of clean laundry, pressed items, shoes) to our ServicePoint.

Q: How do I access the ServicePoint?
A: Our entrance is electronically secured. When you are at the entrance, use the app to open the door (click the "Open Door" button).

Q: Which locker should I use to drop off my order?
A: You select one of the free lockers suggested by the app.

Q: Do I need to list my laundry items (for ironing or pressing orders) individually?
A: Yes, if you make a mistake, don’t worry, the Bügelfee can correct the count.

Q: Do I need to label my laundry basket with my name and address?
A: Not necessarily, but you can add your name to the basket.

Q: How do you make sure orders don’t get mixed up?
A: When your order is picked up, the Bügelfee will attach a label with the order details.

Q: Why do I need to pay a deposit of 1 Euro to lock the locker?
A: This prevents the lockers from being used for purposes other than business.

Q: How do I get the deposit back?
A: The 1 Euro deposit blocked on your credit card will be released after you pay the invoice.

Q: Can I open the locker again if I forgot something or accidentally locked something inside?
A: Yes, via the app. If you’ve already closed the order or left the ServicePoint, please contact us via WhatsApp at +49 175 2403534.

Q: How long does it take to complete my order?
A: About a week for ironing, 10 days for pressing, and 2-3 weeks for shoe repairs.

Q: Can I place an “Express” order, i.e., delivery within 48 hours?
A: Yes, "Express Ironing" is available for up to 5 items, with a 25% surcharge.

Q: How will I know my order is ready for pickup?
A: You’ll receive a push notification via our HappyIron app on your smartphone (make sure notifications are enabled) as well as an email.

Q: How do I access the ServicePoint?
A: Our entrance is electronically secured. When you are at the entrance, use the app to open the door (click "Open Door").

Q: How do I open the right locker to collect my order?
A: After payment (either at home or on-site with your credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal) and once you’re at the ServicePoint, you can open the locker via the app.

Q: Can I appoint someone else to pick up my order?
A: No, unless you give them your phone.

Q: How do you make sure the locker with my order can only be opened by me?
A: You need your phone with the HappyIron app installed and logged in. You’ll receive a notification that your order is ready. Once you are at the ServicePoint and have paid, you can open the locker.

Q: When do I pay? Do I need to pay on-site?
A: You can pay anytime once your order is marked ready, either online or on-site (via credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal).

Q: I’m happy with the result, can I leave a tip for the Bügelfee?
A: Yes, go to "History" in the app, select the order, and click on Feedback. You can give a star rating, leave a comment or tip (5%, 10%, or 15%) through credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal. The Bügelfee will be notified immediately, and the tip will be transferred directly to their account.

Q: What do I do in case of a complaint (damage, poor ironing, missing items)?
A: Go to "History" in the app, select the relevant order, leave a comment, and upload a photo. You can also send a photo via email to [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +49 175 2403534.

Q: What happens if the internet goes down at the HappyIron ServicePoint?
A: If the internet goes down, external access will be blocked. In an emergency, we can remotely open the door/locker. Contact us via WhatsApp at +49 175 2403534. You can always open the door from the inside.

Q: What should I do if the HappyIron app crashes?
A: Restart the HappyIron app.

Q: Why are the business premises under video surveillance?
A: The video surveillance is for the protection of our customers and to prevent vandalism or intentional damage/dirtiness.

Q: What technical requirements does my smartphone need?
A: iOS 15 or higher or Android 11 or higher.

Q: Which payment methods are accepted?
A: We accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.

Q: Is SEPA direct debit accepted?
A: Unfortunately, no.

Q: How do you ensure the quality of services?
A: We work with professionals whose core business is ironing. If you ever have a reason to complain, please contact us at [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +49 175 2403534.

Q: Do you accept flatware (bed linens, tablecloths, etc.) for pressing?
A: Yes – you can select the appropriate order type in the app.

Q: Do you accept restaurant linens?
A: Whether these orders can be processed through our 24/7 HappyIron ServicePoint depends on the volume. Please contact us via [email protected] or via WhatsApp at +49 175 2403534.

Q: Do you accept dirty laundry for washing?
A: Not yet – coming soon.

Q: Do you accept dry cleaning?
A: No.

Q: Do you accept sewing alterations?
A: Coming soon.

In addition to our partners from social areas, we also work with self-employed individuals (small businesses and specialist companies). If you meet the following requirements, you can become part of the team:

  You guarantee professional handling of ironing orders.
  You iron with a steam ironing station.
  You know how to iron.
  You maintain the required cleanliness: non-smoking household, no other odors (e.g., food, pets).
  Unauthorized persons have no access to the laundry.
  You are discreet.
  You work on your own account.
  You pick up and drop off the laundry independently from/to our ServicePoint.
  You have a smartphone to install our HappyIroner app (for ironing partners, specialist companies, and social institutions). It is our communication platform, where you accept open orders.
  You deliver within the agreed time (max. 5 business days), or express orders within 48 hours, pressing within 10 days.
  Payment to you is made immediately after the customer pays.

HappyIron is a brand of LittleHelp GmbH, a startup born from the desire for reliable, professional service, available even outside normal business hours. Our startup began as a family business, with the strengths of all family members forming the solid foundation of LittleHelp GmbH.
